Mission

The purpose of the College of Health Deans (COHD) is to promote quality health professions education and foster scholarship among member institutions. To achieve this end, COHD provides a forum for sharing ideas, concerns, and information; develops and publishes studies and papers relevant to health profession education; and facilitates professional and social exchange among its members.

All deans of schools and colleges are invited to join COHD. Membership meetings are held at least twice per year and coincide with a meeting held by the Association of Schools Advancing Health Professions (ASAHP). The highlight of the year is the Annual Summer Meeting, which provides a forum for thoughtful discussion of current topics of importance to the health professions.
